  • dexter (=cryobctrl): Linux computer for general purposes
  • harrison (=cryoboda): Windows computer for general purposes

 

Computers in the experimental hutch

 

...in the rack:

  • deborah (=lcryob1): Linux computer for running software controlling equipment (spectrometers, etc.).
    This computer is attached to the screen, mouse, and keyboard on the optical table.
  • cody (=wcryob1): Windows computer for running the software controlling the Raman spectrometer (Wire2).
    This computer is typically accessed via rdesktop from deborah (see icon on the desktop).
  • rita (=wcryob2): old Windows computer which contains mostly obsolete software for controlling equipment.
    This computer is typically accessed via rdesktop from deborah (see icon on the desktop).

...on the desk:

  • deborah-terminal: Linux computer (terminal of deborah) for general purposes.
    This computer is useful as a second screen for deborah (use the "vncviewer" icon) to work in a more comfortable position.

 

How to obtain your spectra files

 

To access the spectra files that were measured at the Cryobench from outside the ESRF, login to your NICE account, and then go to the respective subdirectory:

  • UV/vis and fluorescence spectra: directory /data/id29s/
  • Raman spectra: directory /users/opid29s/Spectra/
