The Detectors and Electronics group is composed of two instrumentation units and an internal service team:

The Detector Unit (DUnit) :  provides support services and development capabilities in the area of X‑ray detection and beam diagnostics for the beamlines. The unit also manages the Instrument Pool, an instrumentation loan service.

The Electronics Unit (EUnit), provides the facility with optimised electronics for instrument control, experiment synchronisation, diagnostics and data acquisition, as well as technical support and related services in this area.

The Instrumentation Software Services Team (ISS) provides internal software services, development capabilities and tools for the activities and instrumentation projects of the Detector & Electronics Group and the Mechatronics Team of the ISDD.
