Celebration of 30 years of ROBL
On 3 December, the Rossendorf Beamline (ROBL) at ESRF will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
This milestone marks three decades of successful operation and scientific excellence in actinide science and radioactive waste disposal research. ROBL provides detailed insights into the structural and electronic properties of actinide- and lanthanide-containing materials across a wide range of disciplines, including physics, chemistry, materials science, environmental science, and geoscience.
Funded by Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (Germany) and hosted at ESRF in France, ROBL is a strong example of international collaboration and scientific development.
The event will highlight key achievements, collaborations, and technological advances, and will also provide an opportunity to reflect on future perspectives and continued innovation within the ROBL user community.
