ID02 Time-resolved ultra small-angle X-ray
scattering beamline - Theyencheri Narayanan

ABSTRACT

This webinar will give an overview of the present technical status and performance of ID02 Time-Resolved Ultra Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (TRUSAXS) beamline. This beamline is a multipurpose instrument for time-resolved small-angle, ultra-small-angle and wide-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS, USAXS and WAXS, respectively) [1]. With the Extremely Brilliant Source (EBS) and availability of advanced pixel array detectors, the beamline also became more competitive for X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS) [2]. An array of sample environments enables a wide-range of real time studies of soft matter and biophysical systems. In particular, the performance of the instrument will be illustrated using representative examples involving the hierarchical self-assembly of amphiphilic systems and out-of-equilibrium dynamics of driven colloidal systems [3]. Finally, the next level of improvements in the near-future will be described.
