The MeshandCollect  workflow can be an efficient way to collect from slurries of crystals. In order to use this workflow:

  1. Define a region of interest with the grid tool
  2. Click on the grid, right click and start MeshandCollect
  3. Provide data collection parameters for the grid, for example 5 ms exposures, 50-100% transmission on ID23-2
  4. Once the grid has completed and been processed by Dozor+DozorM, if diffraction has been detected, a second dialog box is presented
  5. In this dialog box, the most important parameters to change are the exposure time and transmission. The default rotation range of 10 degrees in 0.1 degree increments is generally sensible. Care should be taken to limit the dose on sub-datasets as these are typically micro crystals. In Uniform fill mode on ID23-2 we typically recommend 5 ms exposures, 1-15% transmission. You should check the dozor plots for the sub datasets to confirm that no obvious decay is occurring systematically (one or decays could simply be the grazing of a crystal)

Each sub dataset is automatically processed, and when all datasets have been collected, a new directory called codgas_processing (e.g. your_data/run_02_MeshAndCollect/codgas_processing) is created in which ccCluster and CODGAS are run automatically. Currently only the individual dataset processing is uploaded to the data portal
