The participants of the User Meeting are strongly encouraged to submit posters on their recent work using data collected at the ESRF and to participate in the poster session which is an excellent opportunity to discuss their latest results.

Organisation of the Poster Session

The Poster Session will take place on Tuesday 7 February (18:00 - 22:00) during the Plenary Session. Two Poster Clip Sessions will be organised during the Plenary Session.

The participants can also participate in the Best Poster Prize contest.

Posters and poster clips must be registered in the "Documents" section of the electronic registration form.

The posters will be displayed grouped by field of research, according to the ESRF Experiments Division Groups (or the corresponding beamline). Do not forget to select, in the registration form, the scientific topic your poster belongs to:

Poster Clip Sessions

The Poster Session will be integrated with two Poster Clip Sessions which will take place during the Plenary Session (Tuesday 7 February).

A limited number of oral poster clips (each of 2 minutes) will be accepted.

Instructions

1 Submit your poster through your registration form
2 Indicate if you wish to participate in the Poster Clip Session.
The selection of the posters will be made on a "first come, first served" basis.
3 Selected participants will be informed by Monday 23 January 2023 to prepare their contribution:
  • maximum of 3 slides, in PDF format
  • without animation
  • for a presentation of 2 minutes / poster clip

Best poster prize

Two Best Poster Prizes of 400 Euro each will be awarded: one for Life Sciences and one for Hard Condensed Matter Science.

The posters will be judged by the members of the User Organisation and the winners announced during the Plenary Session (18:00 - 22:00).

29 January 2023 Deadline for poster submission to Best Poster Prize contest
Posters registered after the registration deadline will NOT appear in the list of posters published in the User Meeting booklet.

Register Poster How to register your poster:

1 Register you poster(s) in the "Documents" section of the registration form: author(s), title and topic/field of research
2 Indicate if you wish to participate in the Poster Clip Session.
The selection of the posters will be made on a "first come, first served" basis.

🢒 Do NOT submit an abstract for your poster
🢒 Select the field of research your poster belongs to
🢒 Save and upload your document under your family name to facilitate its further processing (e.g.: SMITH_UMPoster.pdf)
🢒 Specify if you wish to participate in the poster clip session (instructions above)
🢒 If you wish your poster(s) to be eligible for the Best Poster Award, upload the PDF file of your poster (instructions below).

Maximum recommended poster size for panels: 110 cm height x 85 cm wide (or A0 poster format).

Velcro tabs to hang the posters will be provided by the organisers.

 

Best Poster Prize If you want to participate to the best poster prize contest:

1 Tick the "I wish to participate in the Best Poster Prize" checkbox when registering your poster.
2 Upload the pdf file of your poster (save it under your family name to facilitate its further processing (e.g.: SMITH_UMPoster.pdf).

The uploaded posters will remain confidential and visible for evaluation only to the ESRF User Organisation Committee.
Important: Do not submit an abstract for your poster.
