Early-Career Travel Grant

Four Early-Career Travel Grants will be available for the User Meeting 2026, allowing the selected recipients to receive financial support up to a limit of 500€ to attend the  meeting. Applications for these grants are open to PhD students and Post-Doctoral researchers, with the chosen recipients being selected by members of the ESRF User Organisation.

To apply for one of the available grants, participants registering under the PhD student/Post-Doc category in the registration form (that will be opened in November) will have the option to select the "Early-Career Travel Grant" box, and to submit a CV and 1-page motivation letter. The motivation letter should describe the impact that this financial support and attendance of the ESRF User Meeting would have on your research projects and activities.

The deadline for User Meeting registration when applying for one of these grants is 7 December 2025 (initially 30 November 2025). The successful applicants will be informed in mid December so that they can plan their attendance and travel accordingly. Unsuccessful candidates will also be informed so that they can confirm their attendance to the meeting.
