The Magnetism of Actinides (G.H. Lander Symposium)

Gerry Lander retires at the end of this year after a scientific career dedicated to the study of the physics of actinide materials. Throughout his career, Gerry has been an enthusiastic user (and manager) of central facilities for neutron and X-ray scattering. He has also been a keen and very active supporter of young scientists - many of Gerry's students and postdocs occupy important positions in facilities around the world. To celebrate Gerry's many contributions to science, the ILL and the ESRF are organising a very informal symposium which will be held in the Auditorium of the ESRF on 28 October at 14.00 hrs.
