Ninth Continuous Wave and High Average Power RF Workshop

The Continuous Wave and High Average RF Power Workshop, CWRF2016 is the ninth in the CWRF Workshop series. It will be hosted by the ESRF at the Hôtel Mercure Président, Grenoble, France from 21 to 24 June 2016.

CWRF2016 will provide an opportunity for designers and users of CW and high average power RF systems to meet and interact in a convivial environment to share experience and ideas on applications which utilize high-power klystrons, gridded tubes, combined solid-state architectures, high-voltage power supplies, high-voltage modulators, high-power combiners, circulators, cavities, power couplers and tuners. New ideas for high-power RF system upgrades and novel ways of RF power generation and distribution will also be discussed.

Located in the heart of the French Alps, Grenoble enjoys an exceptional geographical location and natural environment making work and leisure easy to combine. As an Olympic and cosmopolitan city, Grenoble offers cultural, sporting and social diversity and a wealth of heritage and touristic sites making it open to the world. The city remains an international centre of excellence, in which industry, research and the university traditionally work hand in hand, continually fostering a real spirit of innovation.

The European Photon & Neutron - EPN science campus is an international science hub in Grenoble, hosting three major European institutes - EMBL, ESRF and ILL - along with the IBS and joint partnerships (http://www.epn-campus.eu/). The ESRF is currently designing and building the next generation synchrotron light source in the framework of its Extremely Brilliant Source - EBS project.
