The presentation includes three topics:
(1) Review of the evolution of high-speed image sensors from 4,500 fps in 1992 to 100 Mfps in 2017, which we have developed,
(2) An expression of the temporal resolution limit of photoelectron conversion layers derived in 2017, which could be the counterpart of the expression of the spatial resolution limit proposed by Lord Rayleigh, and
(3) A proposal of a silicon image sensor toward the temporal resolution limit 11 ps, which will be designed to satisfy the conditions introduced in the derivation of the expression of the limit.
Then, shall we discuss integration of the image sensor and the synchrotron technologies?
